Big News: The Third & Main Fall Decor Shop Is Officially Open!

Can you feel it? Fall is in the air, and we are so here for it! If you're on our newsletter list (and you should be), you already know that the Third & Main fall decor shop is officially open and it's filled with seasonal goodies. Here's what we've stocked, a few tips for transitioning from summer to autumn decor, and what else we have on the horizon.

Is It Time For Fall Decor?

Pumpkins, garlands, deeper hues, more texture and a touch of coziness—these are staples of autumn home decor. In anticipation of September (an ideal time to begin the transition from summer to autumn decor), we have a few tips:

  • Incorporate natural elements. Go au naturale with real pinecones, leaves, acorns, apples, pumpkins and gourds to add texture and seasonally appropriate visual interest. We love blending these pieces with a few well-chosen decor items (check out our papyrus reed pumpkins!).
  • Update the mantle decor. Swap out lighter summer pieces with darker, richer, more textured items to instantly warm up the fireplace. Love garlands? We do too, and this 60" carnation garland is a perfect bridge between summer and fall.
  • Switch to seasonal flowers. If you're a fan of realistic faux blooms, now's the time to put away the bright summer flowers for something a little moodier.  We have peonies and hydrangeas in beautiful mauves, creamy beiges, dusky pinks and reds in the decor shop, along with eucalyptus stems and seasonally on-point filler, and they couldn't be easier to style.
  • Swap out the throw pillows. Simple, right? Swap the pillows or the covers with something that reflects autumn. We love this white pumpkin embroidered pillow because it's clearly a fall piece, but the toned-down colors make it a good transition item leading into and out of autumn.
  • Highlight warm metallics. Copper, brass and gold shine (literally) in the fall, so display those candlesticks, picture frames and decorative pieces with pride!
  • Add a fall wreath. A beautiful wreath goes a long way, especially if you want to keep it subtle, and they're an elegant nod to the transition between spring and autumn. We love this fall pampas wreath for an understated effect.

Heads Up!

Our curated Halloween decor bundles are ready for pre-order and ship September 15. They're going fast, so don't dally! Choose from Bewitched Beauty, Dark Decadence and Mystic Masquerade (and yes, we have a ball coming up with those names!).
